-SPECIALIZING IN CUSTOM PORTRAITS -SITE SPECIFIC ORDERS Each portrait starts with a personal consultation by email, phone, or in person. I started taking commission orders in 2001 after painting dogs as my subject matter for nearly 20 years. Since then I've done custom portraits for a wide variety of clients, from first time art buyers to art collectors. The one thing they have in common is a love of dogs and art with a modern edge. My paintings have been commissioned as birthday gifts, wedding gifts, christmas gifts, and in memorium for pets who have passed on. My portaits have been commissioned for living rooms, summer cottages, kitchens, and guest rooms...if there's a need to find that finishing touch for a room, original artwork can bring that room to life. Each portrait is custom planned to my clients suggestions. The process of starting each portrait begins by clients referencing previous paintings I've done as a starting point. In some cases clients bring me their idea they have for a portrait. My portraits can be made according to colours of your choice. I work closely with the client to plan the portrait to complement their personal style and to fit into their decor. I've done portraits for clients in Canada, the U.S., and Bermuda. The vast majority of portraits have been ordered via the internet, and unless you're local I don't have to meet your pet to create the painting. I receive the pictures of the pet via email, email back to the client sketch ideas, and the paintings are shipped via FedEx. On occasion I recieve the pet photo's in the mail, or if clients are local I have assisted in photograhing the pet. If you have any questions before starting please don't hesitate to contact me!
